"The Common Sense Candidate"
A native of Canton, OH, I'm a 96 graduate of GlenOak HS and a graduate of The Ohio State University , where I obtained my BSBA in Marketing and Logistics. After graduation, I moved back to NE Ohio and chose Lakewood as my new home, where I've resided over the last 24 years with my 10 year old son. Since I’ve been in Lakewood, I've seen the Cleveland Metro develop and grow, but I'm concerned this progress will unravel very quickly. Significant real estate inflation is headed our way, and if we don’t change course its going to effect all aspects of our lives. This is why I’m here , this is why I’m running. I personally feel I can help change course, even in a role as State Rep. I’ve reached a nexus point in my life where I’m young enough to care, and old enough to apply life's personal and professional experiences to this civic duty. Nothing motivates me more than exposing and eliminating corruption.
A little about myself
Prior to becoming a local business owner I’ve worked in management positions, various marketing roles and cost containment consulting. For the last 12 years I’ve operated a Property Management for STRs and residential properties. . All aspects of my professional career have given me a thorough understanding of business operations in various capacities.
Fiscal responsibility, budget integrity and resilience are attributes that have become integrated in how I approach my professional career and with your vote, how I will approach my elected responsibilities. Applying past experiences and knowledge is vital to making an impact in any new role, but certain character traits are required to stay on track and not be swayed from your core beliefs. This is where I differ from most politicians, who eventually become compromised. Folding under pressure, giving in to financial greed, or putting the advancement of their Political career ahead of their beliefs is where most elected officials fail the pubic. This is where I will stand strong for OHIOANS and will not be compromised.
A Clear and Transparent Agenda
Abolish Property Taxes
My driving motivator to enter public office is the abolishment of property taxes. This issue has been near and dear to my heart for several reasons. To list just a few..
1) The legality of the tax. There has been no tax in the history of our nation that has ever been structured in this fashion. What I’m referring to is the ability of the state/County to administer the rate of the tax at it’s own discretion. Property taxes rates can be increased or decreased (mostly increased) without any legislation, voted levy, or buy in from the public. The state government has blatantly abused this process and justifies it's negligence as necessity to support local schools, municipalities and other services.
2) Being taxed on unrealized gains. The state is taxing its residents on evaluations that are not the sale price of the property , but what it determines it's taxable value to be. A simple analogy would be getting taxed on a stock or mutual fund before you even cash out on it, which is completely illegal. Despite the legality of this tax, the State not only continues this taxation, but it is doing it at rates which have become detrimental to our quality of life.
3) Not only is the state raising your property taxes with unchecked authority, taxing it on unrealized gains, it’s also doing all of this on an annual basis. This not a tax, this is paying rent to the State for your home. And what happens if you don’t pay rent? You get evicted. Yes the state can essentially evict you, but they call it a default on taxes. Property taxes are the only tax in our countries history that are not tied to the initial transaction, but to an evaluaiton of an asset that they make up at their disrcetion.
There has been a lot of misleading information on the consequences of abolishing property taxes. The biggest concern that most residents have is how will we fund schools, municipalities and other services if that tax revenue is eliminated? To address that, I have crafted a frame work of a solution on how schools, municipalities and other services can still operate at it’s existing levels when this happens. My "FRONIMO'S 50 for 50 PLAN " provides very feasible actions that can achieve this. This plan is a hybrid of reducing frivilous spending and reallocating property taxes to a more traditional tax revenue streams that have guard rails against abuse.

Another important issue which effects the pocket books of ohioians is budget integrity. Only in Government does the philosophy of spend first, budget later exist, vs Budget first then spend. As of now there is no safe guards to control "budget creep". This is a very consequential problem that has bloated our states budget to over 100 billion dollars. Ohio has one of the highest per resident costs in the nation, ranking 35th highest in the nation. Equivalent states in size, such as Georgia has a budget of 20 billion less then Ohio!! That's how much frivlous spending and fraud our state of Ohio has!
If i’m elcected as your representiive I will craft legilation to put parameters on department budget increases. This would eliminate departments from sipening tax payers money to fund unnecceary labor pa y increses that well exeed the avg income o fohio residents and slush funds where poicians dont use for rainy days, but more for sunny vacation days and unnecceary department expansions. Budget abuse has direct effect on Ohio being one of the highest taxed sates in the country.
Budget Integrity
Campaign Finance Reform
Another important issue that effects residents of Ohio is campaign funding. At a glance may this is a petty administrative issue that doesn't effect Ohioans , but its quite the opposite. This is the root of corruption at the state and local levels. The status que allows candidates to raise unlimited funds for a campaign. This essentially opens the door for lobbyest to influence candidates initiatives and agendas. When an industry donates money to a PAC fund that candidate then becomes obligated to that industries best interest, not the residents of Ohio’s interest. This is what s called being comprised. Not only does this influence the agenda of an elected official, but it also creates an uneven playing field for opposing candidates to get into office. The donations are typically signifanct on the hundreds of thousands of dollars. When this occurs, the opposing candidate can not compete with the marketing budget of the compromised candidate which intern makes it difficult to become elected. What I would propose in legislation is to cap fundraising to create a level playing field of all candidates on both sides of the isle.
A very relevant and real example of this is with the Cleveland Browns funding of the new stadium. The Haslam family donated over 1.2 million to a PAC fund which which was donated to all the state representatives. What accured after that is the opitimay of compromising elected officials. The state passed legislation which allowed the Haslam family to secure financing from Ohio's unclaimed funds. In simple words the Haslam's bribed the state house to steal money that literally belonged to residents of Ohio.
