CAN WE REALLY DO THIS?

There is a lot of fear monguring going on out there. High level State Politicians and the Governor are panacing.  WHY?  Not because they think the schools wont be funded but because their slush fund of money will dry up very quickly.  The governor has touted that it would increase sales tax to 20%, which is completely FALSE as you'll see in my solution!  They in turn are trying to throw together legislation that they claim will lower property tax.  Thats great, but that doesn't address the problem at all.  The problem isn't just high property taxes, it having property taxes period.  Property taxes are the worst kind of tax and are illegal. ....We are living with the worse case scenerio, and are just now realizing it.  The discussion shouldn't be about lowering Property taxes, or partially eliminating them only for home owners, We should be discussing how much worse it's going to get if we don't abolish property taxes.  The taxes will continue to go up, bc house appraisals only go in one direction and that is UP.  There are no safe guards to stop this and this will continue to bring on higher rent prices, increased housing, and inflation.  Not only are property taxes a dangerous economical tax, but they are illegal.  We are getting tax on unrealized gains. This is the only form of taxation that  repeatedly taxes the same asset without any type of transaction associated to it.  It would be equivalent to getting taxed on a stock that you own, but have not sold, but you pay a tax on it every year. That is not a tax, it's a rental payment.  What happens if you don't pay rent? You get evicted and have to give up your place of residence...What happens if you don't pay property taxes?  You have to give up your place of residence.  Below, i've created a frame work of how we can eliminate property taxes and replace them with a hybrid soluion of reducing costs and replacing tax revenue in differnt tax forms, hence the name 50 for 50.  Keep in mind this is a framework of a solution.   It is multi layered, and would require legislaton.   If I get in to office, it will be the very first peice of legislation I would sponsor.  All the stats and data were provided from several government websites.
